Welcome - ASHA Practice Portal

Hi MTC therapists,

Welcome to the My Therapy Center's Chatter Box blog! I have created this blog for all of us to share  our knowledge, questions, or anything cool. Anyone can check the blog for new information, resources, or to share thoughts. You can post your own questions or information and comment on other posts.

For the first post I thought I would share a wonderful resources that Barbie showed me. It's called the ASHA Practice Portal. It provides speech language pathologists with a wide variety of information. When you first open the site it gives you the choice between SLPs and Audiologists. Once the SLP link is pressed it provides you with a list of disorders to choose from. Then it further divides each disorder into basic information, incidence/prevalence, signs/symptoms, causes, roles/responsibilities, assessment, treatment, resources, and references. The site also provides therapists with clinical topics, client/patient handouts, templates/tools, clinical topics and evidence maps. The occupational therapists can also use this site to learn about any disorders they might encounter on the job. As the weeks continue I can go into more detail about each part of the ASHA portal. I have attached the link to the portal below:ASHA Practice Portal

I look forward to sharing and learning more information with the MTC team!
